The Port of Last Resort feature-length documentary film about the exile of 20,000 Jewish refugees in Shanghai during WWII, told through home movies, propaganda films, secret reports, and writings by refugees.
GRASSROOTS MEDIA ACTIVISM video for the Ford Foundation’s initiative, “Reclaiming the Public Interest in Electronic Media,” which brought scholars and media justice activists together to address the impact of corporate media on democracy.
“The Road from Poverty” - a project of the World Resources Institute. I travelled to South Africa, Tanzania and Ghana to document community projects that promote environmental sustainability and help reduce poverty.

Select Works Over the course of 10 years I created a series of film and video works that explore ideas related to exile, memory, war, the archive, and the role of image in both representing and failing to represent catastrophe. Drop City documentary film about the legendary artists community that influenced a generation with its practices of art, architecture and sustainable living. The community was inspired by Buckminster Fuller, who honored Drop City in 1966 with his Dymaxion Award for “poetically economic structural accomplishments.” With funding from the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in Fine Arts. DROP CITY will also be a major video installation at the MCA Denver in fall 2011.
